The Donald really should give this taco pasta a try instead!
8 oz. Dried Whole Wheat Penne
1 lb. Extra Lean Ground Turkey
1 Cup Chopped Onion
1 Cup Water
1 Envelope (1 oz.) Taco Seasoning
1 Can Corn with Sweet Peppers, drained
1 Cup Sliced Black Olives
2 Cups Cheddar Cheese
2 Cups Salsa
1 Can Diced Green Chili Peppers
Shredded Lettuce and Sour Cream for Serving
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9×13″ pan. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
Meanwhile, cook turkey and onion until meat is browned, drain. Stir taco seasoning and water into meat mixture and simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in pasta, corn olives, half the cheese, salsa, and chili peppers.
Transfer pasta mixture into dish. Bake, covered, about 20 minutes or until heated through. Remove from oven, sprinkle with remaining cheese, and return to oven until cheese is melted.
Serve with lettuce and sour cream.
